Our Curriculum Intent Statement
We intend our curriculum to be empowering by:
- Fostering independence and enthusiasm for lifelong learning;
- Building children’s awareness of the real world (including culture, economics and core Christian and British values);
- Developing an enquiring mind, curiosity and reverence towards the world.
We intend our curriculum to be inclusive and accessible to all learners by:
- Treating all children equally regardless of gender, race, background, faith or sexual orientation and respecting and celebrating difference;
- Promoting mastery of Literacy and Numeracy knowledge across all subject disciplines
- Offering flexibility to meet the individual strengths and needs of each child;
- Promoting the development of the whole child;
- Encouraging positive mental health and wellbeing which will build resilience and self-belief.
We intend our curriculum to be enjoyable and engaging for all learners by:
- Providing breadth and balance that gives every child an opportunity to discover and embrace their potential
We intend the curriculum to prepare the children for the challenges of an ever-changing society which includes a collective responsibility for the stewardship of God’s Creation.
