Curriculum Information

St Mary's Catholic Primary School is committed to meeting the requirements of the primary National Curriculum. Our schemes of work reflect the content and challenge of the curriculum. Teachers have received training in key areas of curriculum change and are ready to provide outstanding curriculum provision. The curriculum will be taught with the consideration of the needs of all learners. Our curriculum will be exciting and will inspire children to nurture a passion for learning. Year Group plans can be found at the bottom of this page.

As a Catholic school we have opted to use 'God Matters' as our scheme for delivering denominational education (Bishops' Conference requirement) which includes the teaching of different world faiths.

The St Mary's School Curriculum

Our school operates a curriculum model which allows for depth and collaboration with key stage partner classes. In Early Years and Key Stage One this is repeated annually with links being made across the classes and our Key Stage Two classes operate a two-year cycle which allows for immersive and creative learning opportunities which include our popular school trips, visitors and residential visits.
